My family and I recently stayed at Hustyns in Wadebridge Cornwall. We were pleasantly surprised by the superior accomodation on offer and the excellent service provided by the staff.
The weather was not brilliant for the short time that we were there so the 100 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland was just ideal to wander around when the rain did infrequently cease. A staff member mentioned that they grow their own vegetables and showed us around the vegetable garden. This was great for Hannah as she went around the patch looking for an elusive rabbit.
Here's an extract from the Hustyns brochure for your information:
Surrounded by 100 acres of beautifully landscaped private gardens and woodlands, Hustyns luxury country hotel enjoys panoramic views over North Cornwall’s legendary Bodmin Moor. Guests are encouraged to treat the resort as their private haven of tranquillity, far from the fast-moving modern world. To help you relax, the well-equipped health and beauty spa offers an indoor swimming pool and, for guests over 16 years old, a gymnasium, spa baths, steam room and sauna, with beauty therapists on hand to pamper your worries away. You can even indulge in a personal trainer during your stay or participate in a fitness class in the dance studio! Each evening why not dine in style at Hustyns’ restaurant or in the less formal cafĂ© lounge? Or treat yourself to one of the famous nearby restaurants: Jamie Oliver’s ‘Fifteen Cornwall’ at Watergate Bay, Rick Stein’s eateries in Padstow, or the Michelin-starred Nathan Outlaws restaurant in Rock. Hustyns is also an ideal base from which to discover the unspoilt beauty of this historic area. Walk or cycle along the Camel Trail, explore the lush Camel Valley, shop ‘til you drop in the quaint market town of Wadebridge, and enjoy the fabulous coastal views, including superb sandy beaches at Rock, Daymer Bay and Polzeath. Why not play a scenic round of golf at the nearby Trevose or St Enodoc courses? Or visit the magnificent gardens of Pencarrow, Lanhydrock and Prideaux Place? The choice is endless and a memorable visit is guaranteed.
